8 years old / Approx. 17 lbs. & needs to lose weight Hi, my name’s Chewy and I’m a wonderful fellow with lots of love to share! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I couldn’t be happier to be part of the Mostly Mutts family! I hear that once you are a Mutt, you take the next step to getting a wonderful home of your very own. I am all about that! I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and I prefer the more mellow dogs. I also didn’t really care to play, but I didn’t show any aggression. If you have a nice, mellow dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a friendly, sweet, and gentle boy who loves to cuddle and be held. I was a little nervous when I first arrived, but my loving personality quickly began to shine. I did a great job during my bath and happily soaked up being held afterward. I’m a bit of a chunky monkey, as I was clearly overfed in my previous home, so I’m hoping my new family will help me reach a healthier weight with proper nutrition, exercise, and the salt-free green bean diet—just ask about it! With a little teamwork, I’ll be in tip-top shape. / Energy level: 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a smart gentleman who knows the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’, and ‘place’ commands and I bet you can teach me even more! Let’s do some training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’ve been having accidents on the shelter schedule, so I’ll need my new family to help me with my potty training. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love my food a bit too much, so mealtimes are definitely one of my favorite parts of the day! I also enjoy cuddling, being held, and spending time close to my people. And I’m sure that once I’m settled into my new home, we’ll discover many more things we’ll enjoy doing together. / I wasn’t a fan of getting my ears cleaned or nails trimmed during my bathtime and like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I’m looking for a wonderful family to love that will take great care of me and cherish me furever! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
