Tara

Tara is an 11-year-old tuxedo mix who is still learning to trust. She is shy and does best when people let her come to them, and when she feels safe she enjoys being petted and will seek attention on her own terms. Playing with a laser pointer is one of her favorite activities. She can be a solo cat or live in a quiet multi-cat home where she has her own space.

Shy and slow to warm up; let her approach you rather than reaching in. May be defensive when tucked away in a cat tree or bed. Not a lap cat on day one; needs time before laps are welcome. Requires an experienced owner who understands shy cat behavior and patience.

Enjoys petting once she trusts you and will seek it on her own terms. Likes chasing a laser pointer and prefers to stay with all four paws on the ground. Can do well as a solo cat or in a quiet multi-cat home where she has her own space.
