Mack

Mack was born 9/12/13 to a Vizsla/Hound mix and had a very difficult puppyhood with recurring giardia that required repeated treatment and intensive supportive care. He eventually recovered, and now at about 55 pounds he is healthy and happy. A recent oral exam showed weakened tooth enamel that is chipping, so his care plan includes soft or soaked kibble, avoiding hard treats and toys, and regular dental checks. Breed: Treeing Walker Coonhound / Vizsla mix, adult male, medium size, about 55 lb.

Had recurring giardia as a puppy and required intensive supportive care; recovered to good health. Dental enamel is weak and chips, this is a special medical need noted by a vet. Cannot have hard treats or hard toys because they will promote enamel chipping. Meals should be soft or soaked kibble to protect his teeth.

Requires annual dental examinations per veterinary recommendation. House training, activity level, and compatibility with children, dogs, and cats are unknown. A household willing to follow his dental care plan: feed soft or soaked kibble, avoid hard treats and toys, and bring him for annual dental exams.
