Kitty's Kitten Rescue

In their own words
My name is Kitty Sanders. I'm a retired Vet Tech. I have been doing rescue for over 25 yrs but was private. I only went public this year, June. I take in orphaned kittens, neonates, and raise them. Only when they are old enough, ~3 months, do I adopt them out. When they are adopted they are fixed (if weight is over 2lbs) and have had their shots. I do offer microchipping for those who want it. If they have not hit that magic weight amount, then they are adopted with shots done and the owner signs a contract stating they will fix and update me on when it is done or they have the option of bringing the kitten back to me and I will get them fixed for them. I work with another rescue in doing TNR. I have lost count of how many we have fixed just this year and have more to do. Just finished one big colony today and starting another one Sunday. These 2 I have done on my own but did borrow the traps from the other group. I do try to stick with the neonate kittens but have taken in older kittens. I have temp fostered a couple of adult cats, but due to my own cats I can not do the adults long term. I do this because I love animals and can't stand to see them suffer. With my medical background I am able to handle most things myself but of course take to the vet if needed.
